Spring and Fall Cleanups

     - Most property owners already realize the importance of removing leaves and debris from their lawn. Not only can they cause dead spots on the turf, but they can also change the chemical balance of the soil. We can perform a complete spring and fall cleanup for any residence or commercial property at your request.

Mowing

     - We take great pride in our work. All mowing will consist of a minimum of cutting grass, trimming along flower beds, driveways and mulched areas, as well as blowing down all sidewalks, landscape and driveway areas upon completion.

     - We strongly recommend leaving the clippings on the lawn unless there is an excessive thatch accumulation of 1/2" or deeper. Freshly mulched grass clippings are known as one of the best natural turf grass fertilizers. The grass clippings will also help protect the soil from excessive drying, discourage weed growth and protect against disease while feeding the micro-organisms.

     - Although some homeowners believe thatch build up is due to mulching mowers, that isn't the case. In fact, mulching is very beneficial to building a healthy lawn. Freshly mulched grass clippings are known to be one of the best, if not the best, natural lawn fertilizers. For this reason, we always encourage our customers to have us mulch the grass clippings as opposed to bagging and removing them. Due to removal and disposal fees, there will be an additional charge for customers who wish to have their grass clippings collected.

     - We can maintain your property weekly, bi-weekly or conduct day by day maintenance. Lawn Order is very flexible to fit your needs and our goal is to exceed your expectations.

Mulching

     - Mulch goes far beyond aesthetics when caring for your plant beds and trees. The key to mulch is doing enough, but not getting carried away. Mulch should be spread out at a depth of 2 to 4 inches deep. Anything less than 2 inches will not effectively deter the growth of weeds, while too much will keep your plants from getting the proper amount of water and nutrients they require. Other functions of mulch are deterring erosion and aiding in retaining moisture in the soil.

     - Before applying mulch, we make sure the area is free of all existing weeds. This is an important step since weeds can easily establish themselves and continue to spread throughout the area. Once this happens, they will compete for water and nutrients thus robbing the soil of the essentials needed by flowers and other plants to stay healthy.

     - Spring and fall are the best times to renovate flower beds. Mulch services also include removing weeds and grass growing in the area. On occasion we have found a need to remove excessive amounts of mulch before adding more but for the most part, old mulch can be worked into the soil. This will provide extra nutrients while preventing soil compaction.
